Mb323 i wish i would have seen this thread earlier because i wrote one a long time ago that i ve been using that i could have shared it uses the magnetic contact similar to post 3 above and it also notifies if when the mimolite looses power.
Smartthings mimolite garage door.
I was hoping to make changes to how this works for my case as i want it to control a gate.
So far this is what i ve done.

The tile in my device type actuates the mimolite to open close the door but it doesn t reflect the state of the door so i created a virtual.

In doors and locks i can get it to show me the correct state i m just using a smartthings open close sensor however tapping the button does nothing.

If i go to the ide and add a device by selecting from template and then select mimolite garage door controller the code doesn t load or show up like other devices.
The mimolite garage door device type will allow me to open and control the garage door in the things section although the state is not correct and the configure button does nothing.
