If possible flush out gutters with a garden hose then allow them to air dry for a clean fix. Get ready to seal. Lower the uphill piece back into place and press them together for several seconds to make sure you evenly distribute the caulk.

Fix the seam seal use the caulking gun to apply sealant on the inner lip of the gutter segment known as the downhill. The only tools required are a ladder a good pair of gloves and of course the perfect gutter repair glue. Make sure the sealant is waterproof. Once you know where the problem is the cure is pretty simple.

For sealing and joining lap seams in aluminum or vinyl gutters and downspouts we recommend a permanently flexible and water resistant sealant. Over time rain gutters often start to pull away from the roof allowing water to drip over the gutter sides or between the gutters and the walls. One of the most common repairs we complete out in the field is to seal leaky gutters. Replace all pieces that make the seam and then finish by re adding the screws.

Tighten up loose gutters. If any of it has broken away or if you see cracks or missing spots this is where your problem of leaks is occurring.
